Everything you need to turn a stock tank into a real pool — in one box.
The STPP DIY Stock Tank Pool Pump Kit includes a 1500 GPH pump with filter, two threaded assemblies, two plunger valves, marine-grade sealant, and a hole saw. No guessing what to buy. No hardware store runs. One kit, complete setup.
The stock tank and power drill are sold separately.
What does the DIY Kit include?
- 1500 GPH recirculating pump with automatic timer — runs quietly, moves water fast enough to keep a stock tank pool clear
- Filter housing + Type A cartridge — standard replaceable cartridge, easy to find and swap
- Two threaded assemblies — one inlet, one outlet, designed to fit standard stock tank wall thickness
- Two Plunger valves — lets you control flow and isolate the pump for filter changes without draining
- Marine-grade sealant — waterproof seal for the through-wall fittings
- Hole saw — the right size to cut the tank walls cleanly
How long does installation take?
About 45 minutes for most people. No plumbing experience needed. Step-by-step instructions are included, and our full setup guide is at stocktankpoolproducts.com/pages/how-to-set-up-your-stock-tank-pool.
What size stock tank does this work with?
The DIY Kit fits 6 ft, 8 ft, 9ft, and 10 ft galvanized or poly stock tanks. The strainer assemblies are designed to seal against the curved walls of standard galvanized or poly tanks found nation wide at your local feed supply store or online at www.tankandbarrel.com
Do I need to add anything else?
You need 1" chlorine tablets and a floating dispenser to sanitize the water. Our Collapsible Duck Dispenser works great. We also recommend the Blue-Water Vacuum Kit V2 to keep the bottom clean. Both are sold separately. If you want the vacuum included, check out the DELUXE Bundle
How often do I need to replace the filter cartridge?
Typically every 2–4 weeks depending on use. The Type A Filter Cartridge is $12 and widely available.
